Researchers leverage BioExchange’s AI-driven matching engine to identify how many preliminary matches there are within our network of providers. After the researcher submits a request, Specie Bio will confirm the matches with the relevant providers, and directly connect the researcher with the matched provider to exchange samples and data following a streamlined agreement process.

BioExchange makes it easy to find the samples and data you are looking for with a single place to search across our global provider network powered by our AI-driven matching engine. Unlike other traditional biobanks and marketplaces, we connect you directly with providers, streamline agreements, and enable access to richer medical data from our providers—so you can start your research and development in days or weeks, not months.
-
It depends on the complexity of the request and the turnaround time of the provider. For requests with more criteria, it generally takes longer to confirm with providers. Typically, we are able to confirm preliminary matches with partner providers and respond to your request in 1-3 weeks. If we can’t confirm matching samples, we will continue to look for matches with our newly onboarded providers and newly collected samples and data, until you no longer need them.

Specie Bio has a global network of provider partners from health systems, research institutes, medical institutes, mission-driven organizations and biobanks. This network includes millions of available specimens and tens of millions of annual patient visits, and is rapidly expanding.

We use the budget information provided in your request to match you with relevant providers that meet your requirements. Our provider partners set their own charge back fees, often only to cover their operational cost. Specie Bio charges a standard fee structure only if you decide to proceed with any of the matched providers.
